About
Tyrone Whiteside is a local ceramic artist in County Antrim who has studied this particular art form for over 12 years and who has continued to develop by teaching and through his own practice. He is currently working full time in the field. Tyrone’s work is manly focused on pen drawings of local landmarks printed onto white porcelain tiles. He also does personalised handprints and a range of personlised gifts for weddings, engagements, anniversaries etc. Check out his personlised ceramics page.
Workshops
Workshops are a great way for you to try it yourself. I hold printing on clay workshops across Ireland, some are held at craft fairs and others are with community groups that want to give ceramics a go. You can book me for birthday parties, stag/hen do’s and special occasions (visit my contact page for more details and arrange dates). Working with clay is very therapeutic and it is a great way to learn new skill while having fun and getting messy.
My Work
My work is about holding on to moments in time. I capture in clay a memory of a foot print or a trip you went on with a loved one. After a moment is gone all we are left with is a memory. Objects can trigger these memories and allow us to relive a happy moment.
